As the Visual Artist leading the development of the visualization asset, I built a fully customizable immersive vehicle configurator that showcases all the 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 options available to customers online. I implemented all real-world GM vehicle 3D data, configuration logic, and materials. I pitched, designed, and modeled environment art assets, camera compositions, and animations in UE5. Vehicle options for the ZR1 configurator include vehicle trims, body paint colors, wheels, caliper colors, brake rotor sizes, interior color themes, steering wheels, seats, interior and exterior accessories, decals, and aero packages.

The experience utilizes a UE5 data table logic system that directly reflects real-world GM vehicle option compatibility, restricting users from creating non-compatible vehicle configuration combinations. The overall functionality was built in collaboration between myself and a technical artist on the team using UE5 blueprints, data tables, and UE5’s variant manager. In addition to creating a custom vehicle, users have the option to play multiple animations including vehicle lighting, windows, doors, convertible, and environment animations. Several interactive camera angles are available as options including the main orbit camera, a focused wheel camera, an interior camera, and an aero package fixed angle. The vehicle configurator includes two environment options that offer two distinct lighting scenarios to showcase how the ZR1’s paint behaves in direct sunlight and indoor lighting.

Throughout this project I collaborated with direct team members including tech artists, developers, and a third-party off-site vendor for pixel-streaming to the Chevrolet website. In addition to my direct team, I collaborated with GM Art & Marketing Directors and GM Design Color Experts to ensure product accuracy. For this experience I had the responsibility of supporting the art direction, which included responsibilities like pitching, and modeling environments, material creation, vehicle lighting, environment lighting, coordinating color and accuracy reviews with stakeholders, game events, cinematic montages, and project optimization. As an outcome of this project, I created documentation for Visualization Asset production timelines to establish standard practices within the Visual Artist role and meet General Motors global vehicle reveal deployment dates.
